WHAT IS HOME ELECTRIFICATION?

Home Electrification involves ditching your fossil fuel powered appliances and powering your home and transport with renewable energy generated by the sun.

HOW ELECTRIFICATION CUTS COSTS AND EMISSIONS

The most cost efficient and sustainable way to run your home is by using all-electric transport and appliances, powered by renewable energy from your rooftop.  If your home isn't equipped for solar, don't be discouraged — you can still enjoy many of the benefits of solar by utilising super off-peak grid power during the middle of the day (subject to retail plans available in your area).

Every household is different.  However, the following real-life example demonstrates just how powerful Home Electrification can be.

ELECTRIFY MY HOME

We are here to help you become an all-electric powerhouse!!  By following these six steps you could reap the benefits of thousands of dollars in cost savings, cleaner & healthy air and lower CO2 emissions
Picture

Solar

Harness the power of the sun to generate renewable power for your home and transport
Picture

Home Battery

Store excess solar power for later use.  Can also be used to soak up power from the grid when it is cheap and primarily renewable
Picture

EV

EVs offer significant benefits including lower operating costs, zero emissions and a superior driving experience
Picture

Hot Water

Heat pump hot water systems operate using as little as 25% of the energy of traditional gas and electric storage systems
Picture

Heating

Ditching the gas and using reverse cycle AC will not only save you money but it will also provide significant health benefits
Picture

Cooking

Swapping a gas stove for an induction stove provides cost savings and, like reverse cycle AC, also improves indoor air quality

I had a solar system installed a few years ago. Adding a home battery and transitioning to an EV had been on my list for some time, however, I found it challenging to find clear, independent, and reliable advice. This uncertainty caused me to put my plans on hold.

After connecting with the team from My Energy Guide, I was able to seamlessly navigate this journey.  Within weeks I confidently purchased a home battery and an EV, knowing I was making well-informed decisions.

Even with a small solar array, due to limited roof space, our electricity bills have dropped to nearly zero, as we can top up the battery from the grid using super off-peak rates, which are currently free!

Thank you to the team at My Energy Guide for helping to navigate the best battery and retail plan for our circumstances.

The addition of a solar system to my factory is saving over $20,000 p.a. and has a pay back period of less than two years.  David, and the My Energy Guide resources, provided me with the information that I need to make this happen.

Based on actual data from the electrification of the My Energy Guide Founder’s household.  An upfront investment in hardware was required to achieve these savings.  The data presented in this chart is for illustrative purposes only and it could materially differ depending on the household’s hardware, location and energy and travel demands.  It also includes a $2555 credit from exporting power to the grid.  This is based on actual data but it could be lower going forwards if network tariffs change.  Refer to the Case Studies page for further information and detail underpinning the calculations
